At the Susquehanna Waldorf School, we add music and art to science, math and English to help our students reach a deeper understanding of their relative concepts. Multiply this advanced comprehension with daily hands-on experiences and you’ve got an equation that’s paying off.

Founded in 1987, the Susquehanna Waldorf School serves students from pre-school through 8th grade, and offers a parent/child class for children up to age 3. We’re also a member of the AWSNA and an independent Pennsylvania licensed school.

Waldorf graduates are almost two times more likely than the usual U.S. graduate to declare majors in science or math.

This type of learning isn’t new. For nearly 100 years, the Waldorf curriculum has offered students a rigorous classical education balanced with imagination and creativity. In five continents, over 900 independent schools and 1,600 early childhood programs, children are earning an education through the artistic process. The Susquehanna Waldorf School follows suit by placing as much importance on music, art, drama and movement as it does math, science and language arts. It’s our belief that by using inspiration as a key ingredient in our lessons, we can nurture the capacities of a developing mind as opposed to any level of rote memorization.
