EITC (Educational Improvement Tax Credit)
Pennsylvania’s tax credit legislation enables businesses to donate their tax dollars to a scholarship fund—making a real difference in the lives of children seeking a better education.

Education Tax Credits (EITC) are targeted for more budget cuts – even though basic education funding is being increased by $354 million in the same budget. But the EITC helps kids attend the school that’s right for them and provides enhanced opportunities for kids in public schools. Which translates to a brighter future for Pennsylvania.

SCRIP
Please refer to page 5 of the All-School Handbook to read about the SCRIP program at SWS.  Families purchase gift cards and a percentage of that purchase is deposited into a savings account for children in that family who are students of our school.  Percentages vary based on vendor and range from 2% up to 20%.

Scrip cards for Giant, Weis, SKH, and The Country Store are available for sale in the school store on Tuesdays and Fridays.  Orders for scrip cards from over 800 other retailers can be placed on-line at www.glscrip.com.

To place a SCRIP Special Order:

1. Go to www.shopwithscrip.com and create a Family Account.
2. Associate your account with The Susquehanna Waldorf School (Code: L8F5ALAL2963).
3. Place your order.
4. Bring payment of cash or check to the receptionist.
5. There is a $7.75 shipping charge associated with SCRIP Special Orders that must accompany the Special Order.  Multiple orders from multiple families can be combined for a savings on shipping.

Monies earned can be used for school expenses other than tuition.  Qualifying school expenses are:

Ink and Toner Cartridges
Deliver your empty ink and toner cartridges to the receptionist for recycling and cash back to SWS.
