Come join us for Waldorf Adventure Camp! Every day, we’ll spend time playing outside, singing, listening to stories, creating, learning, and having fun. We’ll be spending a lot of our mornings off-campus, down by the river, and will return to the school for lunch, craft time, water play, and dismissal. 

Each week of Adventure Camp has its own unique theme, around which our songs, stories, crafts, and games revolve. 

On Wednesdays, we’ll have playground and/or cottage mornings (weather dependent), during which time we will make a special Weekly-Theme-Snack together. Snacks for each day are provided. Please bring a packed lunch, which can be stored inside in the refrigerator. 

Weekly Themes and Activities:
(Themes may be adjusted based on the weather)

Week 1: June 8-12 ~ Gardening Adventure Week
With Miss Kat & Miss Anne
Get your hands dirty and plant something beautiful while we sing and read all about the garden. 
Highlight: Children will create seed bombs to start their own flower gardens.

Week 2: June 15-19 ~ Foraging Adventure Week
With Miss Kat & Miss Anne
Learn about our local flora and what we can do with it (as well as what NOT to touch!)
Highlight: Children will create their own wild plantain salve to share with their families

Week 3: June 22-26 ~ Music Adventure Week
With Miss Kat & Miss Tabea
Learn a wide variety of traditional, folk, and Waldorf songs, and try your hand with some simple musical instruments. 
Highlight: The children will put on a short, sweet musical performance at the end of the week for parents and friends

Week 4: June 29- July 3 ~ Water Adventure Week
With Miss Kat & Miss Jessie
Dive right on in, with songs, games, stories, and crafts based around our favorite summer substance. 
Highlight: Children sew a sustainable and reusable water balloon

Week 5: July 6-10 ~ Local Wildlife Adventure Week
With Miss Kat & Miss Jessie.
Learn all about the local fauna (wild animals) that live around our school. 
Highlight: Children create a bird feeder for their own local fauna.

Week 6: July 13-17 ~ Fairy Garden Adventure Week
With Miss Kat & Miss Tabea
Join the wee folk on their many delightful adventures!
Highlight: Children make their very own fairy gardens to take home

Week 7: July 20-24 ~ Service Adventure Week
With Miss Kat & Mr. Gabe
Make a difference by joining in with age-appropriate service projects, including nature clean-up, school beautification, and creating 
Highlight: One large crafted project (TBA) to be donated by the children

Week 8: July 27-31 ~ Treasure Adventure Week
With Miss Kat & Mr. Gabe
Join our daily treasure hunts, panning for gems, and creating our own precious jewels, while hearing stories about true riches. 
Highlight: Children decorate their own treasure chests, and fill them with the goodies they find all week.
