At SWS, we honor and celebrate cultural traditions from around the globe, from Diwali and Día de los Muertos to the solstices and Martinmas. These festivals are woven into the fabric of our school and help our students appreciate the diversity that makes our community strong and special. ✨

We invite you to our annual Lunar New Year Celebration, hosted by Susquehanna Waldorf School at Barnes & Noble in Lancaster on Wednesday, February 25, from 4 - 5:30 pm. 🏮 Enjoy lively lion dances, Chinese New Year stories and crafts, and the joyful pop of celebratory “firecrackers” (aka bubble wrap!). 🎊

While Waldorf schools aren’t art schools, the arts are woven into every subject to enrich learning and ignite curiosity across the curriculum. 🎨🧮🔬🎶📚

Recently, our 8th graders dove into their Global Revolutions block in history, beginning with the Industrial Revolution. 🌎 As a part of their lesson, the students created images from charcoal to represent this time period.

In creating opportunities for students to learn from different perspectives and approaches, we foster creative problem-solvers with a lifelong love of learning - this is gift of a Waldorf education. 🎁
